We had our baby shower. My sister Sarah, my mother, my aunt Deb, my grandma Tip and Jessica did a wonderful job of setting it up and pulling it all together. There was WAY too much food, but it was all so good. We got a ton of stuff and we thank everyone who bought us stuff. The kids wanted to help so much, they loved picking up the wrapping and bows. They were pretty good about letting us open the presents - haha.
My grandma Albers made a wonderful cross-stitch blanket that I am terrified to get dirty. My aunt Deb made a bunch of receiving blankets and probably the smallest pair of crochet shoes I have ever seen. She also made the orange fuzzy jacket you can see in the one the photos - can't wait to take photos of the kid in it next winter. We got some really cute girlie clothes (this kid BETTER be a girl now!) and we got a bunch of good kids books to start our collection - that was a great idea. I need to take a photo of all the onsies that people created. I did the "My mom drinks because I cry" onsie. Most people put cute sayings and the little kids even decorated a few of them with their own personal touches. The diaper "cake" was cute ... I think we have enough diapers now for, oh, about 3 weeks :-) I was surprised there wasn't more of a mess at the chocolate fountain. The kids even did a pretty good job of not dripping too much. I didn't put many photos of the people at the shower because most of the photos were just of people looking at us ... guess we should have taken them when they were all drinking and eating ... the action shots.
Again, thanks to everyone who organized the shower and to everyone who got us a gift ... we will use everything! -Sally and Jason
